Dr. Philip S. Stewart is the Director of the Center for Biofilm Engineering and a Professor of Chemical and Biological Engineering at Montana State University in Bozeman, Montana, USA. As an invited speaker, Dr. Stewart has traveled extensively to international and national conferences presenting the biofilm concept and the exciting new science emerging from it. He is also the author of what is likely the world’s longest-running course dedicated entirely to biofilms, which he has been teaching and refining since 1992. He has taught for 13 years and has authored over 100 publications including review articles for publications such as Science, Scientific American, and Nature.
